They are located in Freeport on Litchfield Rd. and have the perfect little farm store!  Offering farm fresh eggs, veggies, herbs and flowers grown and picked right next to the store, fresh baked cookies, breads, granola and more!  They have a wonderful store full of great Maine Made local goods such as sea salts and pottery, t-shirts and greeting cards, jewelry and soaps, hand knit items, yarns, decorative items....stop by and see them for a yummy loaf of bread for a sandwich, garden fresh herbs for your dinner or take in a cooking or craft class for adults and children.

This is some of what they bring with them to market:

Homemade crackers!

 Fresh baked breads.

Dog cookies!

 Colorful hand spun yarns!

 Beautiful fresh flowers.

Brightly dyed roving for your crafts!

 Sweet baked goods.  Mmmmm....

AND you can also see them spinning yarn at the market!

Celebrate The Strawberry!

This week we embrace our local strawberries!  Find them at market with our farmers, and plenty of them!

What are some of your favorite things to do with strawberries?  This blogger likes to eat them straight up!  No sugar or fancy recipe needed, just pop a juicy berry right into my mouth and I am very happy.  But if I had to choose, I do like Strawberry Jam and Strawberry Ice Cream (my grandmothers favorite).  Find a new recipe for your berries below:

These look good!

What will you make?

Hope to see you at market!  Every Friday from 1:00-5:00 on the L.L.Bean Campus, right off of Main St. in between The L.L.Bean Home Store and the Main Store, near Discovery Park (where the free summer concert series is held).
